I have heard a few people on here mention ivermec in relation to treating mites and lice were do you get it from and how do you apply or give to the piggie x

It comes in several forms, Xeno 450 I got from the vet when mine had mites. You can buy a weaker over the counter version from Beaphar but I haven't found it any good. These are both spot-on, i.e a liquid that you put on the back of the piggies neck or behind its ears.
I know some people give a different form of it by mouth but I don't know any more about that - hopefully someone else does!

Ive been to the vets to ivermec mine which cost like £30 which was quite expensive so i brought some (oral one) and i give it to them when they have mites 3 times like every other week or so and the improvements are great after 2 weeks

Ivermectin is available from vets. Do not buy it on the internet as it could be fake or out of date.

Oral ivermectin is very, very hard to dose accurately and is not something that an owner should do themselves in my opinion. If you are in any doubt about dosing then see your vet. As Mary says, you can't rely on ones you buy online as they could have goodness knows what added.
Ivermectin is not very effective on lice and only then if it's applied topically (on the skin). Lice n Easy from Gorgeous Guineas is the best for lice, in my opinion.

I paid $16-24 for three doses of Iver. from the vet They pre measured it and put it in 3 syringes My pig will eat from my hand and was easy to slip into mouth.I have been told it doesn't hurt to use it every so often.Mine was so bad he was going into seizures
