All my pigs have finished a 4 week course of topical pharmaq ivermectin 1% strength (2 drops each pig), I was told to do 3 weeks but I did a 4th for good measure. My pigs have mites that were diagnosed via a skin scraping, no fungal was found. The course has been finished for 2 weeks now, and I see improvement with the skin itself, but no improvement with the scratching, they're all scratching on their hip/flank area and also between their front legs/belly. 2 of my pigs do have a bald patch on their hip area, it doesn't seem to have improved after the treatment. They're still losing hair, in tufts with skin at the end.

I've had pigs with mites before, they had the exact same treatment and the recovery was miraculous, there was immediate improvement and they were fully cured after 3 treatments, this lot don't seem to be recovering the same way, either the skin scraping was wrong and they have fungal as well, or the dosage was incorrect? Maybe they need ivermectin injections to clear this up? A longer course of treatment?

Any advice on this would be hugely appreciated, TIA :)
