J.J having an op today

have just dropped him off at the vets for a removal of a cyst just above his grease gland its been getting bigger over the past 4 weeks so decided its time for it to come off before its starts to cause other problems. i felt awful leaving him the poor little soul looked terrified his cagemate Ted is wheeking for him already this afternoon can't come quickly enough!

My boar has a cyst/abcess on his right hind leg that he had when I got him. We have just been to the vets for draining and antibiotics as it flared up last week. Vet doesn't really want to operate as Wallace is 5 this year so we're hoping it calms down.

just had a call from the vets, hes had the op and hes fine, hes sat stuffing his face with cabbage rolleyes feel like a can relax a little now, hopefully i can pick him up later today

brought J.J home around 2 hours ago and he has only just settled down for a sleep, he has a shaved bum where they took the cyst out and he has been stitched up, just got to keep an eye for any blood, pus etc coming out of the wound hes back to the vets on thursday for his post op check. so glad my baby is home hes going to get spoilt with lots of his favourite veggies later

Aww bless him! I am so glad things went well for him. What a worry for you all. The stiches look very clean - lets hope his fur grows back quickly so he doesn't have a cold bum for long!
