I noticed he wasnt himself earlier when i cleaned him out, he has a huge impaction and usually once its out hes fine, but not this time.

Took him to emergency vets as knew he'd bloated.

Once at the vets, he took his temperature and said it was surprising normal but hes dehydrated. He gave him a gut stimulant and I was on my way basicially.

He's not too dull eyed and he's cleaning himself but hes laying on his side as he's most comfortable.

I'm currently sat here massaging his tummy.

He doesn't want to eat anything.

The vet asked if i was a nurse as I had syringes and knew how to remove impaction, i said no, I'm just prepared.

I am really sorry to hear this. I hope little Jake is soon back to his normal self.

Hes very uncomfortable, I'm massaging his tummy, I'm moving my legs to vibrate him, but it isn't shifting!

Srop all veggies.

what did the vet give? Was it just metoclo-promide?

Do you have a 24hr supermarket with pharmacy near you? A car journey wll help his gut combined wth human zan-tac 2-4mg/kg - available w/out prescription.

PM me to work out actual dosages...

I second this. I'm surprised that the vet said he was dehydrated but didn't give any fluids? Do you have any medication to give at home or was it just an injection he was given?

I am so sorry bloat is a horrible thing I've lost a piggy to it before. Huge ((hugs)) hope you are okay x

So sorry to hear this sad news. You did all that you could for him and I'm sure he's popcorning over the bridge!

R.I.P Jakey xx
