I am meeting Kate tomorrow who is dropping Jasper off and also my two foster boys Pixel and Jazz (who I will post up once they are settled).
Jasper's cage is all ready for him and my shed is sorted all pigs are in cages and it is so much better. I have room for fosters in the shed, no climbing in C&C's to feed piggys anymore and I can cover them of a night in the cold!
So now I am thinking about his options. I want him to have a friend. I have Pudsey and Eccles in at the moment, just monitoring Eccles as Pudsey nicks all the food! Ha! So I am going to put Jasper next to them and see what happens. I was going to try and bond three. Pudsey is dominant and rumbly and Eccles is so submissive. Jasper when he was here the first time around (I was his foster mummy) was dominant but as Eccles isn't maybe it would work!
So that is one option, the other is neutering, which I would do if I really had to but I'm reluctant because of the worry that something would happen. Having children, especially Emily if anything happened to a pig in that way she would be so upset. But it is another option and I think I would have to get him a lady friend as all mine are in the group but that isn't a problem.
The last option is a baby boar. Which I'm leaning more towards as I've done that. But I don't have a cage suitable yet but I'm on the look out on Ebay.
So what would you do? Just after some ideas really!
