My new guineas which I picked up from my local(ish) SPCA.
They are SO scared right now, but they have everything they need and with time I'm sure they will come around. Butah is the white one and Java the black one. Butah chattered his teeth at me a little when I was giving them fresh hay. I remember studying all the sounds guineas can make from a website a while ago, but it took me a minute to realise what he was doing because in over a year of raising other guineas I've never heard it in the flesh. I guess he's pretty angry right now. He will get better I'm sure when he realises that every time I go near him his home mysteriously gets cleaner, more food is added, fresh greens arrive, or more hay happens, he will stop chattering at me.
Aww they are lovely. It will take time for them to learn you are a friend. I guess with them being rescue pigs you do not know how they have been treated.

Give them time to settle - all of my piggies hated me for the first few days
Lots of attention so they get used to your voice, sounds and new smells will soon have them becoming inquisitive and before you know it, they'll be racing over when they hear your voice p
They'll learn to trust you after a time - they're just scared atm of the new surroundings etc.
