?/Do pigs get jealous if they are out for cuddles at the same time? Its seems to be the only time Maddox and Maxwell get grumpy with eachother?

Yes, they can and do! guinea pigs have a strong sense for "I want what you have got, especially food, cosies/hides and attention!"

?/I'm convinced that Maddox gets jealous when Maxwell the baby is getting hugs, when Maxwell starts wheeking Maddox kind of marches over and nudges into me starts wheeking then when Maxwell gets off my knee Maddox trys nipping him! They are at it right now! Do you think seperate cuddle time is nessecary(spelling?) They are so sweet together the rest of the time!

Cavies establish a hierarchy. Sometimes a more dominate cavy can feel threaten if a subordinate cavy receives attention before they do. However, as Wiebke has confirmed, cavies can and do get jealous.

I am always very careful to observe the proper piggy protocol and follow the hierarchy when handing out food, treat or other attention. That cuts down on problems and sniping.
