Well, Jelly is a hamster but she still deserves a place here :'(

I went to feed her at about 11:50 and she ALWAYS responds to hearing the food shaking about in the tub. Well, today she didn't.. So I opened the lid on the tub where she always sleeps and she was just laying there :'( I stroked her (trying to be gentle, but I was shaking soo much) and she still didn't wake up. People never wanna be bit by their animals, but I would have been so happy for her to bite me just then. I just knew it then, she was cold and.. kinda hard. I told my mum and we both came back up stairs, I held her and talked to her while mum got a box to put her in.. We've lined it with tissue and put her in it. She's in her cage (in the box) at the moment because we don't really have anywhere better to put her yet.. mum has called dad and he will probably bury her in the garden tonight. I only had her for 9 months :'( What did I do wrong?! :'( (oh, and then I was on MSN and told someone, and he says 'so, you gunna get another hamster now?' EUGHH. She's just died, why would I be thinking about that?). RIP Jelly xx I'm so sorry :'( I love you. :-*

I am so sorry to hear for your loss Jane and of course she deserves a place on this board.

Things like this happen to any animal you have so don't go blaming yourself for it - none of us know how long we have to live.

The person on MSN doesn't understand so just ignore them. I am sure you gave Jelly a fab life! :)

Sorry to hear this Jane :( She definately had a good life with you, she had an amazing cage set up :)

RIP Little Jelly :-*

I'm so sorry to hear this Jane. Rest assured you did nothing wrong. I always look to blame myself when one of my animals passes to the bridge. I think it's normal to do that.
R.I.P Jelly. :'(

Aw, Jane. I am so sorry. Its not your fault. Its true, you just never know what will happen in life. I'm sure Jelli is in a better place, alomg with all the other piggies we all have lost..

I am so sorry for your loss Jane. It is not your fault - these things happen.

RIP Jelly :'(

I lost my first hamster at the same age, he had a brain problem and no-one could have helped him. I'm sure you did nothing wrong, It sounds as though you treated her very well :)

The person on msn probably didn't know what to say to you (men!/boys, depending on your age ;)) They don't handle upset girls very well!

Rest in peace Jelly (and come play with my 3 :))

I can tell by the way you care and treated her that she lived a good life, and her passing wasn't anybody's fault, especially not yours.

Rest in peace, Jelly. :'(

I am so sorry that happened, she definitely deserves a place here. And at least for nine months she had the best home she could ever ask for. RIP Jelly :'(
