Adult Guinea Pig
So tonight we went to the vet.
First up, the vet said Jemima is a very healthy guinea pig. She said because Jemima is so healthy I basically had two choices... to head back home and monitor the situation and return if there was any change. Or, let them do a biopsy to rule out/confirm several possibilities on the spot.
After much deliberating, I agreed.
Unfortunately there was no fluid in the lump, so not a cyst or abscess.
Again she gave me the option of heading home and monitoring.
But I've decided to have the biopsy sent to the lab.
The vet seemed very positive about dealing with the results, whatever they are. But I have this sinking feeling.
I'm very sad. Jemima is feeling very sorry for herself and is sleeping next to me.
Heartbroken really.
