I posted a little while ago about respiratory noises, it's now back so we took her to the vets tonight, she's on Baytril twice a day. We are to syringe it to her mouth which should be fun (not)

If they wont take it add a bit of genuine ribena (straight). Worked a treat for mine :)

Hope she's better soon. :)

Best of luck! Baytril tastes truly awful, so you can't blame the piggies!

If her poo goes soft or she's nor feeling well, ask for probiotic from the vet to help keeping her guts going.

Thanks :)
The vet suggested juice so we'll try that tonight

Don't bother with Ribena etc, just put the syringe in her mouth and squeeze the plunger, no problem. You are bigger than the pig!

dosage question

Jenny is 1.2kg and is on 4mls a day split into two... so twice a day 2mls. Does that sound right?

If your figures are accurate it is not right.
Oral Baytril 2.5% dose for an adult weight pig is 0.4ml twice daily.

I am assuming that you mis-typed the 4 and 2 without the decimal point.
