Noticed at lunchtime that she has a limp. Bless her. I *think* it's her front right foot that's bothering her. I can't see anything, she doesn't squeak when you gently feel it and I can't feel anything odd, but not sure what I'd feel tbh. Her curly nail is on that hand but it doesn't seem to be touching her pad but I guess it might when she stands on it.

What should I expect the vet to do if I take her tomorrow?

He will check for any breaks in the foot, possible sprain and a check over I would be expecting metacam as pain relief and anti inflammatory.

Please let us know how little Jenny gets on x

She behaved perfectly and didn't limp at all for the vet. Raargh! He said he could feel that her shoulder was sore though and has prescribed metacam. If it's no better or returns when the metacam stops we are to go back for x rays. He trimmed her curly nail too which pleased me.

He's a bit concerned about her weight though. She has gone down about 100g in six months for no particular reason. If she drops any more we are to drop in a stool sample.

A dose of metacam later and she's a new pig. She wheeked her little heart out earlier. Had a lovely sleep (and a wee) on me too.

I'm glad I have a bottle of metacam now tbh. I know it expires but it's good to have in the cupboard.

I'm so glad she's feeling better. It's amazing how a little drop of metacam gets them moving around again.
