Jerry my first guinea pig passed away last night .he would have been 3 years next week.it really has up set me.He was a piggie that got under my skin.such a happy boy.he had been syringe fed on and off since January,and teeth filed,but passed away suddenly .RIP Jerry.sweet dreams i will miss you very much .x

thanks for your kind words,been a very difficult day,especially after his youngest wife stopped eating.ive jiggled my herds around and put two sows in one group and the baby in another group which seems to have worked. never thought i could be so upset losing a piggie,:(
 
I am so sorry to hear your sad news, be kind to yourself, take your time to grieve. It's devastating when we lose pets, they become one of the family and leave a big hole in our hearts when they go. Jerry had a lovely kind home with you and you did all you could for him, he was a very lucky piggy, I hope you can take some comfort from that.
 
I am so sorry to hear this :-( Losing a piggy is always much harder than we expect, regardless if we have been through it before or not.

@eileen these little souls burrow under your skin and into your heart. They are family members. I grieve mine exactly as I would any other family member. It's just heartbreaking. Huge hugs.
 
So very sorry Eileen. Jerry was a very special piggy, he had a wonderful life with you and you couldn't have done any more for him. I hope your girly pigs settle down soon xx
