Feeding critical care won’t stop him eating for himself. However stopping critical care if he’s not eating for himself, will mean he’ll starve to death. What ridiculous advice from the vet.
Thank you that’s what I thought, he isn’t eating because he is in pain, they then overtrimmed his teeth and now they say he isn’t eating because I’m managing to get 100ml of critical care a day into him.
This morning I could hear him breathing as a went into the room so we went back to the vets as is Sod’s law he was breathing fine when we got there. I’ve booked him in for investigations on Wednesday, I wish I was in the UK cos I’d take him to Simon.
The exact same thing happened to me with Popcorns breathing. Whenever I hear it at home he never does it at the vet. I recorded it and the vet thinks it was him whimpering from pain rather than a chest thing so is on daily pain meds’ from home. Hope Jet is feeling better soon x
