JohnnyPig passed away on Wednesday. This thread is to celebrate what a fabulous boy he was.

Please do not add 'Oh, I'm so sorry' posts to this thread, it is not a rainbow bridge thread. I do not grieve in that way. If you would like to pay your respects to JohnnyPig please hit the Thanks button at the bottom of this post, thank you x

He arrived at the rescue with his son Sid, as Johnny had to stay so I could deal with his teeth Sid was bonded and rehomed with a friend.

JohnnyPig's biggest role in life was as Uncle to all the baby boys at the rescue, they moved in with him when they reached 3 weeks old. He would share everything with them - even his presents.

Though sometimes he got to keep them all to himself.

Johnny just loved playing with the baby boys, he was the most kind and loving Uncle, teaching them piggy etiquette, but he was just as glad to see them go a few weeks later so he could enjoy the peace and quiet.

But the biggest change in Johnny's life came when he met Merrick, a blind, disabled pig who had been through 2 high risk ops and survived. They adored each other.

Everyone needs a pig like JohnnyPig in their life, a very remarkable boy. Hopefully Merrick finds bromance again soon.

thanks for sharing Johnny's life story with us, I didnt know what his background was so its always nice to find out. His little boy Christian is just gorgeous!
 
What a wonderful, full life Mr. Johnnypig lived. He certainly touched the lives of many baby boys who will hopefully take the teachings he gave them with him :) xx
 
A little tribute to Johnny's incredible life. (I'm glad you like it Suzy, seeing him made me smile too)

We are sad to see you go,
But happily we celebrate,
Your life was amazing, don't you know?!
You taught us where to find the food,
When to squeak, and wheek and purr,
And all about Suzy the hooman,
And how much whee meant to her.

What a special boy, lovely photo of him on his chair. He obviously made a huge impact on your life and those little piggies he was Uncle too. Thanks for sharing his unique story with us.
 
As requested, I wont say sorry, we dont need to be sorry, he shared some wonderful years with you Suzy, nursing them baby boys and giving merrick the strength to carry on too, He was a very handsome fella and i will miss hearing about him and his antics and latest friends.

What a wonderful life JohnnyPig had with you and the other little piggies at the rescue. Such lovely photos, especially the ones of him with the little baby piggies, he was truly a great pig.
 
Johnny pig rocked! Having to but up with all them young whipper-snappers! Cheers Johnny pig :)
 
all the mini pigs that johnnypig has helped along the way and his legacy lives on, a very special boy indeed.

Having been honoured to have a johnnypig cuddle, he showed me that not all pigs are like my hooligans and led me on the first steps to adopt tyrian and lupin, so we thank him for bringing so much joy into all our lives here.
 
It is brilliant to see all these fab pictures of Johnnypig. I love the one with the babies in the food bowl and Johnnypig looking on as if to say 'When will these kids get some manners'. I bet you're glad you were able to spend plenty of years with such a fab boy :) x
 
My god, you are going to find it hard to find such a role model like him again!

Thanks for sharing the piccies, even though all the animals are special there are always the odd one or two that stand out from the crowd and will never be forgotten.

I met him just the once, but what I will remember about him is your tales of how he loved being Uncle Johnny - so heartwarming.
 
Never have I had a piggy popcorn while having a cuddle like Johnny ! He was one of a kind :) x

Yep - I completely agree - Johnny's popcorns whilst cuddling were legend! And afterwards, he always had a wash!

because if he sat on the sofa and didn;t get any attention he got "reet moody" and gave you "the JohnnyPig stink eye"

And he is the ONLY guinea pig I have ever met who not only demanded piggie kisses........

I always loved reading about JohnnyPig, he was a fantastic pig and a superb uncle!

Thankyou so much johnny, because of you I got to adopt your lovely son peter who has already t of your loving qualities, such as Piggie kisses all the time which are long big licks and who always wants hugs. I was fortunate to meet you several times and enjoyed the many licks/kisses you gave. Thankyou for the lovely memories x
