Hi I used Johnson’s clean and safe disinfectant spray to clean the base of my piggies cage . Is this perfectly safe

No, it won’t stop them from getting sick. However having a clean living environment is important.
The johnsons spray is just a mild disinfectant.
There is a vet grade cleaner called F10 which is much stronger. It also won’t strictly stop them from getting sick but it does kill fungal spores etc so if you were to have to deal with mites or ringworm, then F10 is the best thing to use to clean as it will kill ringworm etc. Johnson’s won’t kill ringworm.
 
It’s a small pet safe disinfectant.
Cage cleaning alone will not stop piggies getting sick. But it will help prevent some bacterial infection on the surfaces you wipe. Keeping piggies healthy requires a combination of diet, hygiene, and observation. However certain individual Guineas seem to be predisposed to some illnesses (just like humans).

fp10 is quite pricey

Yes that is the only thing it is to be used for

Yes it is but it is worth it if you have to deal with a breakout.
I always keep a bottle of the concentrated version. Mix it up a small amount with water in a spray bottle and once made up it keeps for six months. I tend to do a deep clean every few months using it.
As a general weekly clean, I use vinegar and water solution
 
I got a bottle of f10 when my two had mites last year. I use it weekly now. If you get the concentrated bottle it lasts absolutely ages. 👍🏻
 
Johnson’s is fine and dandy :) We keep a bottle of f10 in for emergency’s
 
I found Johnsons to have too much of a perfume like odour so don't use it anymore. I use F10. I buy the concentrate so I can mix up a batch to the strength I need. I paid £10 for the concentrate and I've all ready mixed up 3 lots of disinfectant. I use an old Johnson's bottle so 3 bottles worth, with it priced at £3.50 a bottle, I've found it works out a lot cheaper. I still have a lot of concentrate left too.
 
F10 is quite economic actually. If you buy the one you dilute then it lasts a long time.
 
I use F10 too. I bought a spray mister from Amazon as I found that the triggers on those old spray bottles break after a while.
