Mummy has weighed us and has decided that some of us need to put on a little bit of weight. Today for an extra special treat all we wheekers and Rosie-Lil the bun have had a little heart of porridge each. It was scrummy and we all cleaned our plates!

Note: None of them are severely underweight, just a little bit due to what I believe was my sudden lack of pellet feeding. This is a once in a while treat, I won't be feeding it again any time soon. Needless to say I made it with water!

Awwwwwwwwwwww! Well they look very healthy and happy to me! I give mine porriage too every now and then :) they love it! X x x x x x x

Looks yum! My piggies will be jealous, though Churchill will be happy as he isn't a fan!

Aww, bless them. I never imagined they could have porridge. I'll have to see if mine would like some. :)

How do you make it? I make it for me in the microwave with just water.....then add sweetener, wheatgerm and yogurt! So could they just have it made with water then?

I make mine on the stove but you can make it in the microwave. I then spread it onto a plate and put it into the fridge for about half an hour, then I cut the hearts and left it to warm for about 5 mins on the side so it didn't upset their tummies. It's pretty rich for pigs and rabbits to start with so even if they could eat sweetener I doubt they'd want it. So yes, just enough water to give it a thick consistency.

x) x) awwww nom nom nom
