How long on average should guinea pigs be allowed floor time? I usually give them around three to four hours? is this enough or too much or not enough, help would be greatly appreciated :)

Mine have been out nearly all day :D but the hutch is open all the time so they can go back in whenever. Often they snooze under the hutch for ages. I think it depends on your circumstances and 3-4 hours sounds plenty.

Mine get about an hour... I have to re-arange the whole room to make a barrier for them ;D

Since I got the large 2 storey hutch for Lennie, he doesn't go too far from it, he is always hopping in and out of it. Baby Timmy follows him everywhere so he doesn't go far from it either! Poor Lennie must have hated the small one he came in and is so much happier now ;)

Yeah I have two piggies you see which my auntie gave me for my birthday ( so I hadn't planned them or anything, but I do love them :smitten:) and they were just cooped up in a small pet store cage it was such a shame, so with a bit of a shuffle and a downgrade from a 21 inch tv to a little portable which is fitted to the wall, I have been able to buy them the nero 4 :) (my room is tiny and I have fitted wardrobes so my space is limited, and this is a bit of tight squeeze in my room) but they love it and they seem so much more lively and happy. And I still allow them 3 to four hours of floor time a day.
