Hello,

When I initially joined this excellent forum there appeared to be a lot of posts - advice, information, updates etc - from the rescue centres.

There doesn't seem so much recently. Is it because they are busy?

I know that Vicky from Walsall RSPCA has left the forum. I just wondered what was happening.

I have noticed this too and especially miss the updates of the piggies available for adoption as I think the more avenues used to promote awareness of them the better. I guess they are just busy and obviously looking after the animals in their care is their top priorty.

Fortunetly there are still a good number of other forum members with excellent knowledge and experience to offer advice :)

Unforurtunately it does seem a lot of the Rescues are less active on here than in the past and no longer post piggies on the forum. Here is a link to 'piggy bank recomended rescue map' that will detail rescues with links to their websites so you can always check what piggies are available for rehoming - https://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?msid=209994852075231951564.0004b8fd9391b4257d8eb&msa=0

As for Vicky while she has left the forum, I will still be advertising Walsall's RSPCA piggies in the rehoming section and there are quite a few coming up for rehoming shortly!

It is the nature of all online communities that things change and posters leave. However We still have lots of knowledgable people posting on here.

I noticed this too and was really sorry to see that some people have just disappeared. A few in particular gave such brilliant advice and really helped me learn about my piggies.

Maybe some are taking a short break from things? I did do a little search on twitter to find some of the rescues and am following them now so getting updates that way. Maybe you could try this?
