Junior Guinea Pig
“Billy, what are you doing?†Mop glanced up at the grey side of the cage and waggled her hindquarters from side to side as she geared herself up to leap over. On the other side, Mop could hear the sound of paws on newspaper as Muffin scurried to and fro. The black and tan guinea-pig would be shaking her head with anger. Billy was creating mischief, as normal.
With a huge push of her hind legs Mop leapt up onto the rim of the cage then back down onto the ground. She turned her head in the direction of Billy and flapped her pink and grey ears in anger.
“Billy, the servants won’t be happy!†She warned, hurrying over to him.
Billy glanced sideways at her and shook his head. “So?†He squeaked, his eyes narrowed in mischief. “I want to go and meet some friends.â€
Muffin rolled her eyes and came to stand at her cagemate’s side. “Just let him Mop,†she begged, her eyes flashing. “If we don’t he’ll terrorise us for the rest of the day.â€
Billy’s grandmother fixed him with a sharp glance until the younger guinea-pig ducked lower. “No causing trouble, ok?â€
The boar nodded his head and straightened up before turning to give his side a quick clean. “Ok,†he promised, racing towards the run. Setting his broad head against the run he gave a tremendous heave. There was a loud scraping sound as the brick that blocked the fence from moving juddered away from the cage. Billy shot a triumphant glance over his shoulder at Mop and Muffin before knocking the run aside and racing out.
“Come on!†He called over his shoulder. “Let’s go meet our friends!â€
(Continue the story! You can use your own piggies. It's just a little something I like to do with my friends and I thought we could have a little go here... If you want?)
