I have just taken all 4 girls to the vets as Eleanor, Eliza and Erin were all due for a nail trim and Ena came along for the ride.

Whilst there, he gave all 4 a health check and they are all nice and healthy. Eliza has had a black piece of skin underneath one of her toes for a couple of months now and it turns out it is just a skin tag. He said it can be removed but says it is only necessary if it is causing her trouble which it isn't.

I had all this done and I was only charged £12 :)

Great news - especially the bill!

What a nice trip to the vets. I am pleased to hear that your piggies are all in good health. I always feel relieved when I come away from the vets and everyone is well. It is a bit like no fillings at the d*****t.

Sounds as though you've hit lucky with your vet :)

I showed both of the people I was piggie sitting for last month how to trim nails. They were taking them to the vets but were being charged £15 per pig to get the nails trimmed! I couldn't believe how much they were charged, especially considering I done it for them whilst watching them and it took me a matter of minutes!

Glad they were given a clean bill of health, tell me when did three become four, I think I have missed out on that one.:))

£15 per pig :o Mine usually charges £6 per rabbit / guinea pig which I don't mind as a health check is always included and Eliza is impossible to do ourselves.

3 became 4 at the beginning of June when we adopted baby Ena :) I'm sure that you replied to the thread introducing her to the forum? May be not then :))
