Just bought Lavender Lodge.

Been to pets at home and bought lavender lodge for my two little female piggies - well actually my daughters two little female piggies.:)) Hope they don't get lost in there cos it looks really big.:) The assistant was quite surprised when I said it was for two guinea pigs.:)) Got a free guinea pig starter kit too.:) Just waiting for o.h to put it together now.rolleyes

can i come and cage nap ? {:|{:|{:| hoping your daughter's piggies have fun in their new home, bought one for jessie of ebay and way too small. so am now looking againgrrrrgrrrr hope to see pictures when your girls are in their new home. hugs all round:rose:rose
 
Thanks Choloe.:) I reckon they won't see each other for days when they get in there.:)) I looked at Parsley Den but it seemed rubbish quality compared to the quality of Lavendar lodge.
 
My bun lives in a LL. The height is wasted on piggies, get your OH to put some shelves in!

It's the only cage I could find with enough room for them because all being well I'm hoping my other female piggy might get on with them and be able to live with them so there will be three in there if she does.:)
 
I know its a good size but a guinea pig wont use the height hence why i suggested the shelves. I have a shelf in my Thistle Hall to make use of the space.
 
Oooh lucky piggies! My rabbit has a lavender lodge but he's ungrateful and doesnt go in it lol! Your piggies will be made up :)
 
That looks like a nice hutch!
I couldn't afford that when i got my Rabbit a few years ago. Luckily I persuaded my dad to build me one! He's good at that! I had it made so there was lots of height for the rabbit, but now i have only guinea pig maybe i should put some shelves in for extra floor space? Another good idea JellyBelly lol.

I think the Lavender Lodge will be a success! lol
 
Well its up but it has this funny smell with it so going to see if its okay to put them in sometime tomorrow when the wood preservative smell has gone off it.:)
 
Yes I wonder why it is called Lavender Lodge.?/

I'll put them in it tomorrow morning then - they will have the company of Iggy and Ginger who are also in the shed so they can all talk to each other.:)
 
Suma looks right at home!

I was really excited about my starter kit but found the bowl kept getting tipped over because they are very thin plastic..

again why don't we have things like this in oz8...8...8... lucky girls living in that, won't let zoe and jessie see it though or they may up and leave us.

Yes the bowls are rubbish aren't they - I have to give Ginger one of those heavy ones cos he always tips his over but Iggy is more of a lady and never does this so she's okay with the plastic ones that come with the Nero cages.:)

The starter kits used to include a water bottle but they don't now:(

We went to Chester Zoo on Wednesday last week and I got him from there.:)) I'm quite partial to cuddly toys and I couldn't resist him.:)
 
Oh why wouldnt they include a bottle? Thats weird. I got two stater kits (bought two hutches) so i donated the kits to the RSPCA as i didnt need them.
 
lol! seeing a piggy sized thing in there makes me realise how big my rabbit is :)) i should really stop over feeding him! Theyre going to love it!
 
I think shelves would be a good idea. put a shelf in, line it with lino, and obviously have a little "banister" on the side so they dont fall off it. They will love it!
 
Yey so pleased you got it Jan! I love the Lavander as you know! As for the teddy pig I have the same one from Knowsley Safari Park! He was called Eccles but then we got a 'real' Eccles so I call him Jason! :D

It's a huge hutch. :D

The last couple I got did have bottles with them but for some reason they don't now - well it doesn't say on the box that there is a bottle - just the hay, shavings, vitamins, treats (which my piggys all hate) and a book which I have about 4 of now.:))

Yes I looked at that one but I know some piggies don't like the ramps and knowing my luck my guineas would be amongst those that won't go up them and I would end up buying another cage.rolleyes At least they can popcorn as much as they like now in this cage.
 
I have a Thistle Hall with attached pen, it house 7 piggies. Only two dont use the ramp but then they have never had one before.

Yes its a lovely hutch - thanks for the recommendation Louise.:) I looked at Parsley Den but it looked so cheap and nasty compared to Lavender lodge so for the other £40 thought that I might as well get this one.

Suma has a name tag round his neck with Suma on so that's why I called him Suma..:)) (not very original.:)))
