Well the verdict is - they LOVE their new cage.:) They look quite small in it at the moment but they are only young and have quite a bit of growing to do yet.

Here's some pics of them investigating.

Can't see them on this pic but they are somewhere under the hay.

I want another one now for Iggy.

wow, get some pics up soon! I might have to get another hutch for my babies, wouldnt be Lavendar Lodge tho...

I am really pleased with it and glad I got it now cos I was a bit concerned that it would be too big for two little piggies. I have put an igloo in too and they love running from the bedding part to the igloo.:))

Its a lovely house they can grow into tho :) its sweet, I wish I had the space.

Nemo - They look so happy in there! It's huge! There's lots of room for toys in there too! Ooh envious now - just think all those chubes and tunnels and climbing things they could fit in there. It could be a guinea pig agility or assault course! hee hee! rolleyes

Lucky pigs!

Amy :)

That looks great! I am thinking that might be good for my 3 if i added another floor to it...:))

Yes it would easily fit 3 piggies in or possibly 4 I would imagine - they have loads of room to run about.:)

Well I got another Lavender Lodge today for Iggy - she loves it.:) I felt sorry for her in her 3ft cage and knew it wasn't really adequate for her so I've been looking for another hutch but I was really happy with the one we got for the little piggies and they seem happy enough in it so we got one for Iggy too. It's a pity she can't have a friend to share with her but I tried bonding her with a young female last year but she didn't want to know - I really wish she could have a friend though.:(

Awww thats fab! I've me rabbits in the Lavander Lodge for sleep time and you know all that space they sit virtually ontop of one another...lol They are so loved up!

I have the same problem as Charlotte that I can't get it in my shed the shed door is 4 inches too short. So it comes in for the winter in my utility room. Once temp starts dropping below 10 degrees. :)

Such a nice looking hutch, just as well it's in a shed though I find any lovely new kennels or even sheds or bird tables I have gotten look fantastic the first year but then once the sun and rain gets at them even with staining them again they never look as nice as they did.
Do you not find the woodshavings to be a pain to clean up that would drive me potty lol.

Looks like they like it there's a nice height to it could almost make a little second storey floor in it.

Yes that's the trouble with the sun and rain - it spoils all outside things. Although saying that my rabbit hutches have been outside for about 3 years now and they look okay but they are covered with plastic to stop the rain getting in and we have a tarpaulin over them and a rug covering the top storey so maybe this is why. the pens look quite weathered though.:)

No I quite like shavings - I find them easy to sweep up and the guineas seem to do okay on them - one of my boars always gets really excited when I put fresh ones in - he starts popcorning all over the cage.:(|)
