Last year Beano got a big bald spot on the back of her neck. It was huge, pink and she was scratching it a lot. So I decided to bring her to the vet to get her checked. They gave her a injection and I had to give her medicine everyday. When she got the injection I was told it was for mites. So I brought one home for Cookie just in case she got it to. Like I said I had to give her medicine everyday all I had to do was squirt a certain amount of liquid into her mouth. I also cleaned out her hutch just in case. After about 2 weeks of giving Beano medicine her sore went away and she started to grow back her hair. She is fine now so I'm just wondering was it mites or is there anything else it could have been?

It does sound like it was mites if the treatment worked. The other possibility could have been fungal. Do you know what the medicine was called?

A little tip for all members getting meds from their vet for their piggies. Try to get a printed receipt so you have a record of what meds they've been prescribed. I have all my bills going back nearly 3 years.
