Just discovered my mother in law is allergic to guinea pigs

My MIL is allergic to guinea pigs (and cats!). Does your guinea pig fur 'travel' around the house? She comes over very often so I don't want her to be uncomfortable.

If I got them, they wouldn't live in the lounge but my home office, but as they are adjacent rooms and fur/bedding does 'travel', would it have an impact. MIL is fine with the hamster, no allergic reaction.

It’s Normally the dander people are allergic too, an air purifier can help with it! She might need to take an antihistamine when she comes around!
I’m allergic to hay and take one everyday with my boys!
 
My MIL is allergic to my piggies. They live in the spare room upstairs and the only time they affect her is when she goes in to their room or when I have them out in the same room that she is in which is very rare

Is it because it's upstair/downstairs so not the same airspace
