I wanted to post this as info regarding The Little Hay Company

I have been a regular customer of theirs for many years
Even continued after I suspected their old orchard hay gave my boys hay mites
It was awful old hay that I had ordered once to try …..
( I only ever got my hay from them)

Last week I received an order with 4 kgs of hay missing ….
Also the hay I received is very poor quality and in a 2kg box of hay I had 500g of dust !!
Altho they say their hay has dust extracted.
I contacted them via phone and had to leave a voice mail and by email.
( 2 emails and 2 vms)
Customer service used to be good but it seems non existent….
I know it’s harvest time and holidays but any business has procedures in place for this.

So I am advising any forum member to be wary when ordering from The Little Hay Company in Banbury

I had terrible customer service from Hay Box after years as a customer. Their hay really went down hill, I threw away about £40 worth. We used to get the soft Timothy to mix with NO meadow but then switched to the Sweet Green to entice the older boys to eat more hay.

So The Little Hay Company did get back to me yesterday
They did apologise and forwarded the missing hay, which arrived today but it was still 2kg short of the order !
After contacting them today as a goodwill gesture they have refunded the order amount.
I’m happy with this resolution.
They did say due to the weather all the hay is very dry giving rise to extra dust when it is packed.

I am ordering from other companies so thank you everyone for your advice !

My last 2 orders of the soft cut timothy hay from Haybox were not as good too. My piggies still eat them mind you, but then half of the bag is full of dust as it's been cut so short and tiny and no long strands really. The meadow hay is still fine even though it also have some tiny cut ones, but still there are plenty of long strands of hay.
