i have just been having cuddle time with molly and noticed a pea sized lump on her side just behind her front leg. also i don't know if i am imagining it but her eyes seem to be protuding. it may be me worrying after losing max, chas and pippa. i'm at the vets tomorrow with my dog so i'm going to see if they can fit molly in too but i was wondering if anyone had any ideas what this lump could be.

It could be a harmless cyst so please try not to worry. She is going to be checked out tomorrow so you cannot do any more. I hope it goes well in her check up.

My advice as with the others is a vet check, hopefully its a harmless cyst or fatty lump :)

My girl Sookie has a pea sized lump, had it checked by vets and it turned out just to be a harmless fatty one. In the same area too, just under her arm, hope this is all Molly has.

Spooky!

I've been on the phone tonight to another member on the same subject.

Hopefully it is just a harmless lipoma....however.......in order to determine if/whether this is important

Your vet needs to
a) takes a needle aspiarate of the lump
b) if it shows pus -go for microbiological culture and antibiotic sensitivity IMMEDIATELY befoe antibiotics are pescribed

Hopefuly it's nothing serious but it needs to be checked

Happy to talk about various lumps etc -think youhave enough posts to send you PM

x

contacted vets to see if they could squeeze molly in with benjy's appointment. not a problem at all - so we will be visiting them at 5.20pm tonight. i'll let you all know the outcome when i get back. fingers crossed that she is ok

molly has been to the vets and been given a clean bill of health. the lump is a sebacious cyst. craig (the vet) said it is best to just leave it well alone unless it gets too big then he'll remove it. he gave her a really good check up teeth included and said she is really healthy. i'm so relieved.

Great news! Lots of love to Molly x

Oh wonderful news! My Amelia Jane had one on her back and it just went away on its own.

Good news, hopefully it won't get bigger :) one of my passed pigs basil had a fatty lump that grew and he had it removed but its usually rare.
