He keeps giving me "the eye"...poor boy, a bath last night and then neutered this morning.

He's stitched up from the inside apparently and then glued to hold the skin together. They said that they gave him a syringe of Critical Care because he wouldn't eat. She put him back in his small travel cage and he picked at some hay on the floor which is great. He's still picking at it now, but they gave us some Critical Care in case he still won't eat much more soon. Got both pain meds and antibiotic to be started first thing in the morning, because they dosed him before we left.

Getting ready to see if I can tempt him with a piece of lettuce.

We take him back in a week for a follow up.

All the best to Shotzie - tell him to get well for all those lovely girls!

Best vibes from a VERY sympathetic Llewelyn :)p

He's doing really well! It's weird because they said he wasn't eating but when we got him home he ate hay, tried a few pellets, and drank his water. Then when the fridge opened and veggie bags rustled I got a little squeak out of him. He had stools and urine (though he sounded like he was having issues passing - let out a few painful shrieks). He ate lettuce and parsley and before bed last night he was almost "running" around rolleyes. It wasn't full blown running but he was more active than I thought he should be. He's already in a tiny cage, so not sure how else I can restrict movement.

He's munching on hay at the moment! Getting ready to give first dose of Metacam and the antibiotic, should be interesting....:))

I'm so happy for and Shotzie that he looks like he is one of the boys that bounce right back!

All the best to him, and you!

xxxxx

:)) Must be! He LOVED his antibiotic and Metacam....he was mad when he didn't get more. rolleyes :))

He looks sweet on your lap! Is he going to live with Molly? They'll make a stunning pair!

Hopefully, his appetite will pick up in a day or two when the wound starts healing up.

:)) That is actually my Mom's lap. I was scared how he was going to react to the meds so I wanted her to do it the first time.

He's been eating all day, well except right after the Metacam, I think it literally knocked him out...he even had a little piggy nightmare :(

Not sure who we're going to pair him up with just yet! We have Pola and Nell in a pair, then Lila and Poppy (his mother and sister) in a pair and then Molly who we're not sure who we wanna put her in with the one of groups of girls so we have some figuring out to do. Rory will get put with the left overs when he gets older and he goes through this process. :))

I don't know how much it costs in England but it was almost $300 to get Shotzie neutered. Of course it is well worth it, but its also a lot of money!

No, it's a lot cheaper here, I think between £40-50 for a boy.
