I think I'm too far away to be of any practical help :(

But big hugs to you for helping these very sad piggies - keeping everything crossed for them.

Never ceases to amaze me why people wait so long before doing anything - surely they realise things are getting going to get out of hand when litter no 1 arrives. What on earth do they think they'll gain by just leaving them to carry on breeding?

Thats horrible! I think anyone who dosn't know about pigs shouldn't be allowed to keep them.
How many piggies are there still alive?

i understand, I'm here if you need me, oh and i should just mention so to reasure you, i have worked with the RSPCA as a homechecker for 6 years now and have also worked in rescue for alot longer, i am in close contact with my vets who see me regularly with one rescue animal or another all of which anyone who may need some help some time is welcome to check up on.

little bit of good news today the guinea that came in which was so close to death ,,after feeding him recovery and prbiotics and every hourand having baytril has started to eat a little by his self this morning and the baby guinea after 3 hourly bottle feeds his poo is now normal(was jelly like) the boar is still not out the woods has a little soft poo this morning but think its because he was that ill and not eatten or drank anything for god knows how long its just his bodys reaction to the food hoping it wont turn into the runs:... but from how he was yesterday, furr falling, out so dehydrated, and not pooing ,or weeing ,and unable to eat or drink, on his own I'm thinking this is great but still very early days.....

The signs are encouraging, long way to go yet but so far so good. You're doing a fab job, I wish I could help in some way!

I am keeping my fingers firmly crossed for all of them!

You and your friends are doing such a great job!

well done and keep going. Keep my (home) email and if needed i can meet you at Strensham.

take care and love to all the piggies.

he has also started to eat pettlets from his sack:)

I guess you mean vita-poos. As gross as it seems, it's a good sign. Whenever our Bertie was ill, we knew he was on the mend when he didn't refuse them.

Well done you and good luck.

Pleased for a positive outcome so far even if it is early days.

Hope everyone in your care gets better and better Claire.

only just seen this.god thats awfull.i live near newcastle under lyme if anymore help is needed?i have an empty 4ft hutch but its an outside one?

I am so sorry to hear of the plight of these little piggers. Hopefully now that they are in your expert care they will thrive and begin to understand and enjoy a better life, free of ailments and cramped conditions.

I am really surprised that their former guardian did not realise how bad their condition was and that they did not have enough room. Hopefully she has learned from her mistakes and will not take on any more caged animals in the future.

I am in awe of and incredibly proud of anyone who can deal with this kind of situation with the kind of time and dedication that it requires.
You have my utmost respect and admiration for all that you do (all of you)

I too have an empty cage but I have so very little experience that it would not valuable for me to offer fostering services.
