I cleaned the girls cage out tonight and they run around my bedroom while I'm doing their cage.Theyve been back in about an hour and I just had a thought that I didn't remember putting blackie back in (I've got 6 girls).I double checked and she wasn't in the cage so I look everywhere for her that I can think of, pulling the TV cabinet out etc and couldn't find her.I start panicking and feel like crying as she's not coming when called.I even checked the horse bag of Washing that I've put in the machine but not turned on.I already checked my mums room once and couldn't find her but checked again and she's somehow managed to get under the wardrobe.I feel relieved I've found her but the little won't come out lol so I've left a pyramid cat bed near it with a treat in so hopefully she'll come out soon.

Wow.
I had a story like that except it was outside.
I was putting pumpkin and pebbles in the cage when my lap felt lighter. I assumed pebbles already jumped in. Nope she was running half way down the garden eating grass.
She is still a little monkey to this day.

Oh wow, I bet you were running fast to catch her lol

They do like to keep us on our toes don't they.
Caspy did this to me once. I thought I'd looked everywhere and started to panic trying to think if one of us had gone outside at some point and left the door open. Little monkey was behind the shoe rack in the at the bottom of the stairs, I hadn't thought to look there as they never go that way at floor time, I assume because the tiled floor is cold on their feet.

They really know how to worry us lol

ive a piggie who escaped the hutch this evening !she has been chasing around the table and under the hutches !everytime I'm near to catching her she bolts off !left a carry cage out with fleece, hay, lettuce with the hope she will take shelter there, but I'm just waiting ! I'm glad you have found your escapee !

@eileen bet she snuggles in when she's bored with exploring, the carrier sounds very welcoming, she'll be trying that trick every night! Hope you don't have to wait too long.

i may leave her until the morning, she is giving me the run around,i dont want to scare her any further!ive some piggies who jump out of the hutch just to chomp on the grass and then jump back into the hutch ! they are like houdinis !

Eeek! Once one of my hedgehogs got under the fridge... I was afraid she was somehow going to get hurt and I couldn't move the fridge on my own so I had to go get the landlord and building super to help me! I'm sure they thought I was nuts!

On the morning of my FIL's funeral, I went out to give the piggies their breakfast only to find that I hadn't locked the hutch up properly the night before and Dennis was missing. I panicked and started calling him but he didn't appear. Then I looked under the hutch and found him cowering right at the back. So there I am with the behind the radiator duster, on my knees on an old towel, in my new dress and jacket (cos I was only going to quickly feed the pigs) trying to coax a :cen: guinea pig into a hidey in a hurry cos we have to go in like 5 minutes and Dennis was being unco-operative cos he was a frightened boy!

This is very similar to a story with my pebbles,

We were having Lap time on the grass outside when she decided to run off to explore behind a fence! (That we couldn't move, it was between a house and the fence). I managed to use her hideys house to lure her in and safely back home. Very frightening! 😖

We lost our rabbit once. We looked everywhere for her to no avail. We had an old fashioned free standing gas cooker and that night I went to cook dinner but the gas ignition on the cooker wouldn’t work. On further investigation I found Bertie tucked in quite comfortably under the cooker having chewed through the ignition wire. How he squeezed in there I’ll never know!
