I introduced Pola to the new sow (yet to be named) on neutral ground, in the run with newspaper bottom. Just picked up the sow today and she is roughly 8 weeks old. I have no idea how old Pola is, but she is late-teens to adult. Poor little Pola has been on her own for about a month now, so it was time she got a buddy.
Pola seemed thrilled to have the little one with her and she followed the little one around smelling her rear end and even popcorned every few steps.
I have now moved them into Pola's cage (completely cleaned with new fleece bedding) and a new hut, along with Pola's hut she's had for a month that is also wooden. The little one keeps hiding in Pola's old hut and Pola runs her rather large self in there and makes the little one squeak, and then runs out, but seems to be no biting. There has not been one rumble or anything that I have read to look out for.
Is this too good to be true? :{ and should I take Pola's old wooden hut out if it seems like it may cause problems?
