I also have a hamster and have posted on a hamster forum, I always like to make sure my animals homes are clean and big, my hamsters home is much larger than most, but a lot of the people were pointing out negative things, without even having the fact (sizes, ventilation etc..) - I've had a much warmer response on the guinea pig forum and found everyone to be friendly (obviously I understand people pointing out if something is wrong to help.) but no one on here so far has seemed to be a 'know it all' and everyone is welcoming and friendly - so i'd just like to say ''go guinea pig people!'' lol

I know what you mean.I have rats and joined a rat forum but it was a waste of time.Actually got more info from here.The rat forum took ages to answer queries if they even answered.The people didn't seem very friendly either. Also love the diversity of topics on here.They have been very supportive as well as I have had a bad year

I've been on a Guinea Pig Forum on Facebook and some people are so unecessarily rude and like you say "know it all". It's nice to find a forum where people seem to give helpful advice and are friendly and polite! x
