Hello all
Martha is now on her own in the penthouse suite, only 4 days in from the loss of Maisie. So far ok, l bought her a babies very small, very short pile fluffy duck and attached little blanket. She has taken to it but as l thought, she has now started to pluck it . I am now keeping watch don’t want her to fill up with fluff ! Anyone else put a cuddly toy in with lone piggie, there has to be a market for something. I am off to local pet store later, get her something wooden to chew on. Thanks x

When Squeak crossed over the rainbow bridge, I got one of these baby safe toys to keep Bubble company until Truffle came to live with us, as he was missing his brother so much.

I wrapped it in a blanket that Squeak had been sitting on and left it for about half an hour so that it smelt of him. Bubble would give his "buddy" lots of kisses, carry them around the cage and spend time lying next to them, bless him.

I got the beige and white one, which has "safe" embroidered eyes, but please be aware that there is a black and white version which has plastic eyes, especially if Martha likes to chew.

Thank you, the Guinea pig looks just like Maisie ! Just had to wrap the duck up in the blanket to stop Martha plucking. Cleaned her house today, when l put her back in she ran round it 3 times popcorning as she went, just no respect for her lost sister

That's ok, you're welcome! I thought Bubble might have done the same with his toy as he used to chew everything at one stage. It's now Truffle that likes to try and nibble everything.....think it's in the hope it might be something to eat, as he always acts as if he has never ever been fed!
Oh Martha, I'm sure you miss your sister in your own way, but making the most of having a cage to yourself with loads of room to popcorn!
