Just "Popcorning" or is there something wrong with Willow?

I know about popcorning and have witnessed both Acorn and Willow doing popcorning. But do they also "popcorn" on the spot?

I've only seen Willow doing this. He flicks his head about and does little weird hops on the spot and makes little squeaks. The first time he started doing it, it looked like he was having a seizure and it scared me. It was only for a few seconds. I think it's part of his popcorning, because he only does it when they're having their mad 5 minutes and doing popcorns and zoomies all over the place. But it's quite scary to watch so I thought I'd ask anyway! So, is popcorning on the spot a normal part of popcorning?

Popcorning is as individual as free form dancing is in humans and you see quite some variation from little hops on the spot to bouncing off walls or even doing a bit of a roll on the floor in connection with a really mad session. You have the ballroom dancers as well as the street dancers...
Some piggies are strictly zoomers (runners) and some will zoom and jump at the same time. Others love to combine their activity with playing dodgems with their mates. :D

There is nothing wrong whatsover with your piggies. :tu:

Okay, good, thank you! I've never seen that sort of popcorning and it honestly looked a bit like a seizure. I guess he's just a weird piggy :xd:

My adults didn't popcorn with much movement, they'd sort of twitch on the spot but when Eva's babies started they would literally ricochet off the sides of the cage like little bouncy balls

Haha yea the piggy I just had to take back to the rescue was a funny popcorner. She would just stand in one spot and jump in the air quite high. One time she jumped so high the whole dining table shook when she landed. I love watching piggies individual little jumps

My Mabel does this, she sometimes just literally jumps up and spins around on the spot! Whereas Margot shoots from one side of the cage to another when she popcorns!

When my lot were younger they would popcorn while doing zoomies it was funny to see. Now they just twitch a bit. Occasionally they will jump high enough to turn round. Lenny and Gizmo my Rainbow Piggies would jump and sort of clap their front paws with their back paws.
