Just said a teary goodbye!

My piggies have just been picked up to go and stay with a friend for the week as I am of on my holidays! Must admit there was a few tears! Is it just me or does anyone else get like this when they have to leave their pigs for some time? Feel about stupid now as it's only a week!

Nope, your really not alone, I have my neighbour send me photo's..but then again I haven't been away from the furries for longer than a wheek.

I get very anxious indeed.

It's not easy to let your pets go... even for a holiday!

I think everyone is the same - we think of our piggies as part of our family and would miss them however long they were away for. We recently read a thread where a couple of slaves took their herd on holiday with them in the caravan. We try to do a lot of camping (weather permitting) and that post has given us food for thought for the future where our piggy/ies are concerned. A good friend of ours who has 3 children always takes ours for holiday times but we feel as if we should take him/them with us. A weekend away should be for the whole family.

For longer periods we will be sending our boy/s off to Hutches Rescue to give them some well deserved r & r with Joanne and her family. One of the main reasons for doing this is that she uses the profits from her animal boarding to help fund the rescue service she provides. For us this is a win win situation as we know our boy/s are being totally pampered and helping to provide for other piggies in a less fortunate position

Thanks everyone! For a moment then I thought it was just me but obviously not! Lisaali- don't think i can take mine with me on this holiday as I don't think they allow pets on the plane!

I am the same, I miss all my pets so much when I am on holiday. Luckily my lovely petsitter sends me regular updates and she loves them all as much as I do so I know they are happy.
