Hi just saying hi have recently become a new guinea pig mum to two gorgeous 7 week old girls caramel and treacle my 40th birthday present from my hubby will post pics once they are a bit more settled.

What a fabulous 40th birthday present! Unusual but very exciting! I'm sure they will bring you a lot of joy in your 4th decade! Happy 40th and look forward to hearing about your new piggies xx
 
5th decade?! I'm having a really thick day. Unable this morning to work out that a rabbit was an 'other pet' and now counting on my fingers to work out what decade you're entering! Time to give up and go back to bed today i think!

Hi yes I have had guinea pigs before we used to rescue them had 10 at one point all in my front room then we went through major financial difficulties so found really good homes for them but that was several years ago . So yes a very excellent birthday present only had my girls since yesterday so they are quite nervy still they are in the spare bedroom which is going to be there room once they get more confident and hubby going to make them a run for the summer so they can nom on the grass if summer ever returns lol

The summer will return although it feels a long way away at moment....
