Was putting the boys back in their hutches after lawn time earlier. Sprout was fine, no trouble there. Spud, on the other hand...see, I’d decided to take him in for a cuddle first. Just as we got to the door, Spud decided he was going to leap off my arm. I tried to catch him, but failed. He actually fell on his back, then flipped himself over. Managed to grab him before he ran off, and once inside, checked him over.

He’s fine, don’t worry. Walking fine, no limping or dragging any of his legs. No signs of pain or discomfort. No squealing or anything. Still, gave me quite the shock! All Spud did during the cuddle was fall asleep!

Little pickle! Our Hazelnut did similar yesterday morning, but landed in the bucket I had just scooped the dirty hay into. It tipped over and she got a mini fairground ride as the bucket went rolling. I pulled her out and dusted her off totally fine!

They do like to keep us on our toes at times.

Gosh, poor you and naughty Spud, glad he’s alright x
I now put my two into a large pink trug to carry them in and out, it’s quicker and safer, Ted gets so excited to go out sometimes that he wriggles and tries to leap at the run!

Spud’s fine going out, it’s just that I normally do put him straight back in his hutch afterwards, so that’s what he was expecting to happen today.
