Just Seen A Horrible Video On Facebook And I Want To Cry

Just scrolling through my newsfeed and see a video autoplay with a guinea pig (so obviously I stop to watch it), but the pig is then rugby kicked into a wall/out a window. I don't know which because as soon as that happened I closed the tab. I'm shaking and on the verge of tears. How the hell can some people be so outright evil. Poor pig, I'd give anything to have that baby with me :( No doubt it died from the injuries :(

Just needed to vent to some people who would care as much as me. I hate people and I hate facebook.

I don't know what's worse - the fact that some people are capable of doing these things - or that they are prepared to post a clip of it .

That's one thing I don't get, lots of people sharing it, it's animal abuse! I don't see people sharing videos of people killing others, so why the hell is it ok for people to share that monstrosity! Animals are living things too :cen:

Oh God that sickens me to the stomach. People like that shouldn't be sharing the air they breathe with other living beings. I hope they get them too, and I hope their punishment is harsh.
I will not be looking for this vid, but I hope that sharing it helps to catch them.

I think the first is worse and the 2nd just shows they have no shame or remorse, and is one more reason to punish them harshly.
 
I haven't seen the video, and I hope I won't, so I will be careful with facebook just in case.
About the people in the video... I just hope they catch them and make them pay for it.

Thank you for reporting it, I wish I had. Was just too shocked and closed the tab immediately, felt sick to my stomach since.
 
Definitely good to report it, it's bloody disgusting. I gave up Facebook due to the sick things that leaks onto your feed. Some dark, evil stuff from nasty people. I'm very sorry you had to see that. I would like to see Chuck Norris drop kick that person into the sun, because that's the equivalent of what happened to the poor piggy. If it was a human baby the police would be all over this, but it's just a rodent to many people. If only they knew how wrong they are.

Stuff like this makes me wanna leave this planet!
 
Oh my goodness, that sounds awful beyond belief. Just what is wrong with people that will abuse a defenceless little animal, and why does anyone want to share videos of such horrific things? Just knowing they exist is bad enough, but I'm so sorry you actually saw a bit of it. Things like that tend to haunt you. I hope you'll be okay.
 
:rant: I have not seen the video and have no intention of seeing it. Things like this make my blood boil. No doubt these scum think that they are being very clever, inflicting such cruelty onto a defenceless creature and then posting it on Facebook. Perhaps they won't feel so clever when they are locked up! People like this often want to inflict pain on other people but don't have the courage, so turn on defenceless animals instead.
There was an article about a similar incident in GPM, where some boys were playing football with a guinea pig. When a young girl told them to stop, one boy said that the piggie was his and he could do what he liked with it! The brave young girl then grabbed the piggie and rushed to her Gran's house nearby with it. The poor thing had boot prints in its fur! Surprisingly it survived, probably due to the girls timely intervention.
 
The sad thing is a lot of animal abusers don't get that severe of a punishment, I read an article about a woman that starved her pets to the brink of death and only got an 180 hour community service, as the animals didn't actually pass away
 
Sadly laws that apply to humans in the case of abuse/neglect are rarely applied to animals, as humans (as a race) have classed animals below us, therefore have lesser rights. Generally people think themselves more intelligent. Tell that to the dogs that protect our borders, uphold the law, rescue people in mountains and can detect cancer by smell. Right?

I don't consider myself human anymore, I want to be a guinea pig instead :D

(P.S I'm sure piggies have special powers too, we just haven't figured out what that is yet. My guess is the answer lies in their mysterious chirping...)
 
Just had an email back from the moderators on Facebook, as the video was not from an original Facebook user, the one I reported was on a "liked page" they have removed it from said page and have forwarded onto the investigations team to attempt to find the source and take further action..Atleast we can all hope that some good comes from it!
 
I hope that some good can come from it.

In the meantime though, you can stop the videos playing automatically by changing your settings. I have done this as I got a couple of very dodgy videos shared (an ex colleague very politically charged in his local political situation. Unfortunately that included sharing some terrible terrible things :( ) but also if you are browsing on a phone then you can get through your internet allowance quicker than you expect if you have videos autoplaying.

Utterly disgusting. I saw a petition asking that animal abusers get the same penalty as if they had done it to a human. I just hope something like that passes.

Poor Piggie, if it did survive I hope someone rescues the poor thing and gets it help and gives it love.
