I was getting up from the couch with my piggy in a blanket in my arms when I tripped over a blanket on the floor and fell! Luckily the piggy didn't take the brunt of the fall, as I fell forward onto my knees and elbows with her in the blanket still in my hands. She kind of bounced forward off the blanket, but that was it. She didn't squeal or anything, and since it scared her I can vouch that she is using all four limbs with no issue, as I had to chase her down! I'm just concerned that she could have some kind of injury that doesn't show up until later. Anything I should keep an eye out for? The vet is closed at this time of night and, like I said, I suspect she's okay as she really didn't hit hard because my elbows took the brunt of the impact, plus it's a carpeted surface and she took off like a crazy thing, but I always worry about these things!

Oh what a shock for you both.

The fact there are no immediate signs is a good thing and it was carpet afterall. I think to be on the safe side, regular checks, moving, eating and drinking should be fine and give her a bit of time to get over the shock as well. A couple of days of checks to be in the clear, someone may have some other thoughts though. Sending you healing vibes

It's not an emergency but I would get her checked by a vet when you can, in the meantime monitor her movement, eating, drinking and poo and wee output.

check her teeth incisors are easy to break. if she has broken one you may want to break the food in to smaller pieces for her until its grown back

Guinea Pigs are more hardy than you think. I did the same thing with one of my guinea pigs except he DID take the brunt of it and did squeal, he was fine within a few seconds and lived to the ripe old age of 8 years old (this happened when he was a baby). If you're worried though take him to the vets, but I'm sure he's fine.
