whether anyone has bought there guinea pigs from the adoption center in Pets at Home? If you did how much did you pay for them?
I know most of you on here dislike P@H but there was two adorable guinea pigs in the adoption center both girls, really wanna adopt them but gotta get around my parents first!

I got 3 girls from P@H adoption in 2010. They had been handed in due to an allergy apparently. I think the payment was at my own discretion and I paid about £30 for them because the money went to charity(and I am a member of one of the dog charities that benefits from them). One of the piggies had major health problems (mainly dental) and has since passed but the other 2 are still with me and are fabulous piggies. RIP Toffee

I also got an elderly hamster from their adoption centre in 2009 and paid £10 for her which was more than their baby hamsters cost but I couldn't stand seeing an old hamster in there at the time....and she lasted about 4 months and we had the best time ever. RIP Rita

Thankfully now I've moved jobs I am never in P@H to be tempted - where I am in Scotland, despite being a major city, has a lack of rescues around ...

xx

I got captain jack.

Never done anything like that before but there was no chance of him going to a decent home considering his one eye. I gave them a fiver I think.

Although I would add when I got Millie from Clare, I paid more than the standard fees because it was going to a worthy home.

Thanks! :)
We got a gerbil from the adoption center, she's deaf.
We gave them a fiver for her but I thought it might have been more cause its a bigger animal.
I don't want to see them in that adoption center its horrible, need to adopt them asap lol
Just need to get around the parents now, any suggestions?

Just dont ask, just get her and say its too late now, make her story worse than it is and they'll melt :))

i had nelly from the adoption centre and phoboe gave £6 and £5 for them.

now i dont go in there.

nelly has one eye so he has a good home, and he's now been neutered and lives with 5 girls :)

I bought Troy from the adoption center. They asked for a minimum of 8.50 but I think you could give less or more.. I can't remember but I gave over the minimum.

I got 2 of my girls from their adoption centre and yes they normally expect half of the retail price but it's still up to you how much you donate...i paid £10 each.

Think I paid £20 for my ratties (I was obviously feeling generous!).

Thanks everyone! :)
Still trying to get them to say yes, but I'm gunna try and get them tomorrow if they haven't been adopted already.
Will give them £20 I think :)

So I went today and they were gone! ):
They went yesterday, wish I took them when I seen them now!
So I've told me mum that if there is anymore guinea pigs that are in the adoption centre I will have them there and then instead of waiting 2 days for my parents to decided!
Let's hope they have gone to a good home
