Kale is high in Calcium and other goodies
its also high in Vitamin A which is bad for us as we cant shift it out of our bodies well But can Guinea Pigs?
Ron

I have no idea but mine shift it out of sight in no time :D :D

There are good and bad elements in all veg.The secret is all things in moderation.I give my pigs a very large variety of veggies including the ones that are often listed as bad.

My pigs get 3 - 4 bowls each of veggies per day, each bowl contains 2 medium helpings of 2 different veg. They do not get the same veg at every meal or indeed every day.

If you feed in moderation and give plenty of variety, they will be fine.

No such thing as bad veg and good veg, just bad diets and good diets, make sure your pigs get a good variety of leaves and roots (eg carrots) but not so much on the roots :)

Hay and grass are the only things that can be fed ad lib. Mine get veg x2 daily, it is quite a minor part of their diet which is mainly a good variety of hay :)

Guinea pigs need calcium and will have issues if they are not fed it (usually dental!), high calcium veg is fine when fed correctly :)

I have no idea but I would imagine so, but vit A is in carrots too...

It probably could build up,but they would have to be fed veggies with high A content every day for a while.Stick with moderation and variety, stop worrying and enjoy your pigs.

ooooooooo i'm enjoying them its just one of those thinking thingys and just wondering etc
Thanks for the information thou

Keep on doing " thinking thingies" Ron. Very often "thinking outside of the box"will solve the problem.
