Is it normal for pigs to not like kale? When I do decide to buy it, which isn't very often, only one of my four boars will actually eat it. The others sniff and nibble for a few seconds and walk away.

Yes .......my guinea pigs won’t eat it - kale is very high in calcium so guinea pigs shouldn’t have it more than once a week - try coriander (cilantro) - I haven’t met a piggy that doesn’t love that 😊

I used to give my Piggies Kale until one developed a huge bladder stone and I had to pay to get it removed. My Pig now loves watercress and spinach, so I would try that 😊

Both of my piggies get really excited for treats until they realize it's kale, then they sort of spit it out and wander away. They LOVE romaine lettuce, cilantro, bell peppers, basil, and parsley.

I do feed them all the things suggested. We do spinach, romaine, parsley, cilantro, cucumbers, carrots, celery and green peppers.

As long as parsley and spinach are once per week only due to the calcium content and carrots once per week only due to the sugar content, then their veggies sound good!
This link details other things which are safe for them to eat if you want to add other variety at any timehttps://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/threads/edible-and-forbidden-veg-and-fruit-list-with-vitamin-c-grading.42/

Thanks for posting this page. I'm a new owner and this will help me so much. Mike

I’ve only ever had one who actually liked it, but I tend to avoid it anyway because of high calcium. Once every fortnight I let them have a little cavalo Nero (which they love more) but it is again a rare treat because of calcium.
Daily they love coriander, cucumber and peppers
