I have a big hairy Swiss white boar called Rumple who is 1 1/2 years old . He is brushed regularly and doesn't mind this at all. My problem with him is keeping his white rear end ( which is very hairy !) clean! It is obviously a delicate area and do not want to hurt him ........ Does anyone trim the bottom area? I don't want to keep bathing him in winter as I don't want him to get the cold. Thanks !

all of my long ones get bottom trims! so much easier to keep them nice and clean :)

I've just taken in two very hairy piggies. Ellie's hair is SO long at the front and back. She's going to need regular cleaning/trimming too :)

We trim our two long haired boys each week - the hair grows so quickly! Gilles in particular is a bit prone to a wet bottom occasionally when he's been sitting in wee for too long. We check their "bits" each day to make sure there is no hair stuck in the penile sack.

I trim Bertie with the dogs small round ended scissors. He doesnt mind. Got a feeling that Jeni is going to be really hairy as well! (that should be fun, she is a feisty girlie!)

Thanks Suem .... I was going to ask what kind of scissors to use . How is the piggie held for its trim ? Obviously you'd need a helper !
