Keeping in touch when forum is down

Yesterday my OH set up a live chat for us to chat to each other like when there was the live chat box on the forum however many years ago. If the forum went down again we could still keep in touch. The rules would be the same as on here and could you use the same name so we know who everyone is. I don't want to post the instructions to get to it publicly so that unwanted trolls and adverts can't get on. I you are interested just write on this thread and I'll pm them to you.
 
What a great idea! Well done to your OH, I'm no technophobe but setting up chat wouls still have baffled me! @) I'll have the details please :)
 
Sounds good, there is a Facebook page for the guinea pig forum also.

Thanks for those instructions!
It's all set up however when i try to connect it says it can't because the channel is invite only(?) So not sure that I have done it right.

Right, issues are hopefully sorted. My Oh hasn't set up one of these before and had to consult a friend.
