after looking at the dried herbs & veg in p@H and Jollys last weekend, I've been drying my own veg:<>
I must say it's gone pretty well. It's much nicer knowing exactly where the herbs and leaves come from, and knowing there's no chemicals on them. So far I've done beetroot leaves, hazel, cabbage leaves, marjoran, sage, mint, fennel, dandiloin, apple leaves, and more hehe!
I've filled nearly 7 food bags so far.

I can't believe I didn't think of it sooner! Thank goodness for Rayburns hehe!

In a baking tray in my rayburn :) It only takes an hour or so in the top oven when it's not on hehe :)
You could hang it in a paper bag in a conservatory, or another sunny room :)

Thanks

Ar thank you well i have an oven, an a lack of sunshine lol :0 but my friens has a green house might try that x

How do you know which leaves are ok?
I've got french beans which have a ton of leaves on and some tomato and pea plants likewise...

Never ever give piggies any part of tomato plants, even the little green tufts that they sometimes still have on when you buy them, any part of tomato plants are poisonous!

Well it's just the regular veg I give them, but dried, there's a list in the main thread about which veg I've been using.

Just been drying some chickweed this afternoon :D
