This morning, Kindle heard a baby bird doing his "feed me!" song through the open window and wheeked back at him.

That might be the most important thing to have happened in the world today and if you do not agree you may need to reexamine your internal cuteness meter. ;)

I have seen her do this before -- she will respond to things that make sounds that seem to her to be apparently piggy-ish. The funniest example I have witnessed is when she replied to emergency vehicle sirens going by with a series of loud squeaks of her own. There really was quite an uncanny resemblance between the two.

Other folks, are your piggies particularly vocal with you/the world/each other? :)

That's adorable! My piggies are still quite new so are generally quiet. Goodness knows how noisy they are when I'm not here

Awww.... so cute! Linney used to 'talk' to a lot of electronic devices that made a beeping noise, but she would give them her angry rumble noise. Just so they knew who was boss, apparently. Whenever I would dial the phone with her on my lap she would rumble at it. Most of the squeaking we hear comes from the hope of food coming... rustling bags, my voice when it's 'food o'clock' (we tend to feed on a pretty predictable pattern.) They even know the sound my office chair makes and will sometimes squeak when I get up or raise the chair in the hopes I am coming to feed them.

Aww
My girls would hear the garage door go up and as soon as I'd walk through into the workshop where they lived they'd be wheeking! They knew my car and my hubby's car they saved the biggest wheeks for their mummy

Sakurai wheeks when she hears my door open when I get up as she knows that it means food time. :))
