Vedra has booked Kingslie in for his neuter on Wednesday.

Now the nerves are setting in - for me, not him! It's been three years since I had a pig in for neuter.

Finally the countdown to pairing him with Saffron can begin!

AWWWWW I so understand. Do try not to worry though he will no doubt be fine, he's in the best hands isn't he?

It's a nervewracking thing. Duke is almost all recovered now, his incisions were larger than normal on account of him being what the vet described as 'very well developed' - they needed to be a third bigger than normal. But yesterday I looked and it's almost gone. They can count down together - Duke wont be allowed with Dolly now until after her babies have weaned. His countdown is longer bless him!

Good luck Kingslie! Just think soon you'll be a married man! :))

Aww, I had wondered how Duke was doing! Maybe we can arrange that double-wedding we talked about, Kingslie's not going near Saffron until August (6 weeks minimum after op) so it might all tie in with Duke and Dolly's arrangements, you never know!

Kingslie is not particularly well endowed (:))) but hopefully all will go well. I could have taken him to a vets in Sawtry that Vedra recommended but my mum and I would prefer that Kingslie's done by Vedra, so we chose to wait another couple of weeks until she could book him in.

I did take a photo of Dexter after his neuter three years ago, as long as all goes well with Kingslie I'll be keeping a photo diary and pop it in the health section so others can learn what to expect of neuter wounds as they heal.

Oh my goodness he is gorgeous! Love that little pink nose! x) x) Hope it all goes well on wednesday! I know how nerve wracking it is! x

Good luck Kingslie, Henry is booked in for his on Tuesday so we can worry together :(

I have a photo of Orson and the stitch that didn't dissolve if that's any good to you.

I think that is a wonderful idea, its so useful to have something to compare these things to. I am sure that after Henry's op I will be posting constantly looking for reassurance :red

Just think how good things will be when he has had his op and is able to live with ladies! Our Sylvester is one happy boars and loves keeping his 10 ladies in line!

Ahhh, Kingslie is so gorgeous, I love a good wedding. good luck lovely boy, just think of all the fun you'll be having.

We'll be thinking of you on Wednesday, and of course your mummy who'll be frantic about you no doubt.

I love a summer double wedding, bagsie Big Bum Blossom is maid of honour!xoxo

He is gorgeous and will keep everything crossed for him for Wednesday. Our little Jimmy is due to be booked in soon too, he lives with another boar at the moment but the other boar is getting on a bit now and the rescue have already charged for his neutering so when the time comes we have the option of pairing Jimmy with some girls. Am dreading him going to have it done though.

Aww, poor little chap. It's a means to get a happy end for the 'married couples', but not very nice for the lads to have to go through that operation. It's a sacrifice well worth making though, he'll be so happy when he is in with his new lady friend. Good luck for Wednesday. :)

Will be thinking of you both on Wednesday Laura, fingers crossed all goes well for gorgeous Kingslie xx

Okay I am wishing the week away. Good luck for TOMORROW and keep us informed TOMORROW :(|)

LOL Lisa, he is going down to Vedra tonight, so it still counts. I'm a bag of nerves!

Thanks Sophie, I appreciate it! He got to stay the night here as I phoned Vedra last night and this time she said he can go down at 10am on the day, so I've literally just waved him off. Got to get back to poorly piggie and my other lot now, they have stinky cages that need sorting out. rolleyes

No idea what time his op will be but will update soon as I've heard from Vedra, hoping it'l be a day surgery but there's a chance she'll operate in the evening. I'd like to have him home tonight if possible so hoping he gets done this afternoon!

Fingers and claws crossed from all of us here!

Good luck Laura and Kingslie, I wish you a quick day today and a good result. All fingers and paws crossed for you here :)
