Kitchen ideas please!

Hey everyone. I have been thinking about my guinea pig cage and I want my pigs to have more of a kitchen area. They are still not in their new cage yet and in the cage they are now and in their other cages under their hay rack just gets pretty gross. I just had a bent grid standing and the fleece would get so gross and they would pee right at the bottom of the hay rack and of course the hay would stick to the fleece making cleaning it very hard.

I would like to hear your ideas and see pictures of your kitchen areas. Here is a picture of my cage. It is almost finished. I plan on making one of the sides on the top level the kitchen area. It will have a ramp to the bottom level, just have not got there.

I made a big hay area extension recently because I added 2 more pigs to my group of 3.
My cage is all on one level (the hayloft was being used by foster pigs) so the hay area is the 2 x 3 section. I just put newspaper and hay down, then top the hay up every day, and clean/ change it all on day 3. I use a lot of hay but I buy it by the bale so I don't mind how much we get through. I bought a crochet net from Bexpets to go over the top and it has been a big hit with my pigs. It has greatly reduced the amount of pee in the fleece area.
