A part of me is missing. I sensed I would lose Kiwi last night but it was just unthinkable...just over 2 weeks of syringe feeding and surgery is a lot for any guinea pig to take though. She was so lovely. It's not often that you come across a guinea pig with such a friendly, happy temperament and full of character too. She loved her cuddle times and I miss her greatly. We still have 2 guineas but they aren't into cuddles as much and nip when they want to go back...one is a rescue who isn't used to be handled. We had her just less than a year...it wasn't long enough and I feel it's so unfair. We did get a lot of guinea pig love and pleasure in that time though. Feeling lost without her but I know she is free from pain now, and I'm sure she knew how much we loved her. IMG_0409 - Kiwi.webp

I am so very sorry for your loss!

Kiwi has packed a lot of love into the short time she had with you. With some guinea pigs, it is not the quantity of time that counts, but the quality. Some pack a lifetime of love into just a few moments. Kiwi was one of them.

RIP Kiwi

She was such a gorgeous Guinea pig, and put up an amazing fight for those two weeks of illness.
It was so cruel for your time together was cut short like that, but it must have been a great bit of a year.
Sleep tight little lass.
Hugs to you.Xx:hug:

A beautiful tribute to your gorgeous little lady. I am so sorry for your loss. She would have known how much you battled for her and loved her. Huge hugs x

Sleep well little one

I am so sorry to hear your sad news. You gave her a kind and loving home, so sad it was for such a short time. RIP Kiwi.

Thank you for your kind comments everyone. I still can't believe she's gone but it's getting easier. I was driving to the Dr's on Tuesday though and just as I was parking it hit me hard all over again...thankfully I had enough time before my appointment to look less upset. I'm sure she's still with me and I sometimes see a flash of her when my eyes are closed.

So sorry to hear of your very sad News, It's so incredibly difficult losing one of our piggie family members, the world just feels completely empty without them and we feel so alone, but do try to remember the love you shared and the magical moments you spent together.
