Kiwi May Have Lymphoma Or Leukemia

Thanks @Swissgreys she's my baby girl. Sometimes I get really upset knowing my time may be limited with her. Just spending maximum time with her

His all. Just wanted to update on Kiwi's progress. She is now on weekly chemo treatment. The lumps seem to have stabilised and I think her lumps are moving a bit more freely... Not sure if this is a sign that they are shrinking?

The other exotic vet at the practice we went to this week said it appears the cancer had not spreaded and that we may see a better improvement with her now on weekly treatments.

She's still bright and eating fine etc, takes her medication well.

I am so sorry hun :hug:big big big hugs to you and Kiwi. Keep Fighting !

That sounds like great news! :) I am well aware not all cancers are the same, but it's hopeful that some treatment (and one that appears to be tolerated well) is available for some types of cancers.

Stay strong Kiwi!:yahoo:

Hi all just to update. Kiwi is as bright and hungry as ever. However, her lump under her chin has got bigger. She has her chemo injection today and the vet said the lump has become an abscess and needs draining.

He's drained it and said it was the size of a plum and the gunk was like toothpaste. Nice!

Picking her up later after work so I'll update you all later

Picked her up and she is home by the radiator now with Peri. She's so content, nothing is phasing her. She's happily eating and talking to Peri without a care in the world... Up at the side of the cage begging for veg.

She really has an awful day. Her cut and neck is a right state! I'm cringing more than her when cleaning out the wound and avoiding the stitches! Just hope it heals well.

Bless her, I’m glad she’s doing well xx

Just caught up with your story, glad Kiwi is battling on and is happy in herself despite everything she is going through. Sending lots of love and healing thoughts x

Thanks Anna I'm so proud of her xx

Hi all just to update on my little warrior. I've kinda stopped focusing on the cancer now and just mainly concerned about her food take and surgery wound.

Her appetite has increased although we had a couple of bad days after the surgery which affected her appetite. It has slowly increased but not eating quite to her eating habits.

I can't keep her with Peri as Peri is acting really weird squealing and chattering her teeth. For the first few days peri had attacked Kiwi. I think this may be due to the smell of the operation wound? She's not as bad now but still need keep them separated at night and when I'm at work.

Today Kiwi has become more lively again and strength has increased... Back to being my diva again with nudging me away during syringe feeds and squealing at me
