Hi all again Kiwi is poorly! Bloody animal, I'll need to get a second job with all these issues she keeps having!

Anyway I treated her with a load of the Xeno50 tubes a few weeks ago due to excessive itching and loss of fur. Peri was treated too.

That didn't work so on Monday I treated them both with Xeno450 and I checked Kiwis fur again and she's lost even more fur.

This is really stressing me out now. Please can you advise?!

How old is Kiwi and how much does she weigh?

She needs to be treated with a does that is appropriate for her weight, and she needs 3 treatments at 8 - 14 day intervals.

It sound like she really needs to see a vet.
If the Xeno course was correct for her weight and she is still itchy and loosing fur then it may be something else.
Has fungal been ruled out?
I hope you get to the bottom of it, and as crazy as it sounds sometimes seeing a vet at the first sign of a problem is the cheapest option as the problem is treated correctly before it gets worse.

Hi Kiwi is 4 and she weighs 900G. If anything I've given her more than not enough. Her cage friend is scratching too although not losing fur.

Thanks, Katie

I really think it'd be better if you got your guinea checked by a vet . This will ensure correct diagnosis - and Vets can prescribe medications and dosages that are not available over the counter.

Please take her to see a vet for formal diagnosis and treatment. Treating on spec with over the counter medication is not really advised as there’s are many reasons for hair loss and itching. Really the vet needs to examine and diagnose the problem.
